GAM presents an exhibition on carlo mollino, one of italy's most singular cultural figures.
the exhibition shows works from american and european private collections, including the most complete collection in existence, that of the swiss gallerist bruno ischofberger. participants in a seminar at the department of architecture of the university of miami have built models of buildings and interiors that are exhibited alongside a selection of famous drawings by the architect (some of them executed
with both hands). especially for this exhibition, the bedroom mollino designed for casa devalle, was reconstructed. in this surrealistic room, the curved walls and the ceiling are padded and lined up with capitonné silk.
